Hammersmith & Fulham Council has taken further action to ensure that alcohol-related trouble does not flare up in Shepherds Bush when Queens Park Rangers play home matches.

On Friday, September 16, the council’s Licensing Sub-Committee agreed to the following restrictions:

British Queen, Uxbridge Road
No glasses or glass bottles for three hours before and after matches
No Sale of alcohol before 11am on QPR matchdays
CCTV to be installed at the premises
Two registered door supervisors to be in attendance three hours before and three hours after a match
No drinking outside the premises for three hours before and three hours after a match

Coningham Arms, Uxbridge Road
No glasses or glass bottles for three hours before and after matches
One personal licence holder to be on duty for three hours before and three hours after a match
CCTV to be installed at the premises
Two registered door supervisors to be in attendance three hours before and three hours after a match
No drinking outside the premises for three hours before and three hours after a match

The Green Room, Goldhawk Road
No glasses or glass bottles for three hours before and after matches
CCTV to be installed at the premises
Two registered door supervisors to be in attendance three hours before and three hours after a match
No drinking outside the premises for three hours before and three hours after a match

Cllr Victoria Brocklebank-Fowler, chairman of the Licensing Sub-Committee, said: "We have taken these decisions to ensure that alcohol-related antisocial behaviour does not take place when QPR are in action at home. Now that the club is in the Premier League and the ground is regularly full to capacity, there is an increased potential for trouble so we have acted early to stop any irresponsible drinking by football fans.”

The committee also agreed to impose similar restrictions on the Kona Kai on Fulham Road. It was agreed to ban alcohol from being drank outside for three hours before and after Chelsea matches and prohibit the use of glasses or glass bottles for three hours before and after matches. It was also agreed that CCTV should be installed and SIA registered doormen placed on duty on matchdays.
