More Police Constables than ever before are patrolling the borough’s town centres thanks to a £5million boost from local taxpayers and businesses. H&F Council is ploughing £1.3million a year into the Met’s coffers, with local firms adding an extra £350,000 a year.

The cash is being used to boost the standard Safer Neighbourhoods Teams in the borough’s three town centres. The council's dedicated Parks Constabulary, Neighbourhood Wardens, Licensing and CCTV teams are also taking a robust approach to the criminal minority, and the annual Crime Summit and the growing network of Neighbourhood Watch Groups are improving the intelligence that we receive from residents.

 Crime consultation 2012

How safe do you feel in your neighbourhood?
What crimes do you think are a problem?
What would make you feel safer?

These are the types of questions H&F Council is asking as part of our work to reduce crime even further in the borough.

We want to get your views on local community safety problems and suggest areas where we can improve.

Have your say now by visiting: www.lbhf.gov.uk/crime2012 (opens new window).

The consultation closes at midnight on Saturday, March 31, 2012 and your views will help set future crime fighting priorities in the borough.

DRUG DEALERS USE MINICABS FOR THEIR DRUG TRANSACTIONS ON THE STREETS OF SHEPERDS BUSH,AND ACTON,SO KEEP CHECKING MINICABS WITH PASSENGERS WAITING ON SIDE STREETS OF UXBRIDGE ROAD. DRIVERS ARE TOO SCARED TO ASK FOR HELP...DRUGS ARE KEPT AT ESTATE IN ACTON TOWN BY BOLLO LANE, THEN LATER SOLD ON THE SHEPERDSBUSH STREET ON FRIDAY NIGHTS, NEXT TO THE POLICE CARS....SADLY.

I would like you to increase the police presence around Galena Road and Albion Mews. These streets are full of offices, but are very quiet at night and a regular meeting point for local youths. We're a company with offices there, and our staff and customers are intimidated by anti-social behaviour from groups of teenagers hanging around in the evening. It's a dimly-lit street, so is even more frightening in the dark. Perhaps the dispersal zone could be extended to include this area?

I am asking for some CCTV cameras around Shepherd''s Bush Central line tube station toward the residential area of Sterne Road. In this corner ASBO is very common every hour of the day, people urinating, smoking and drinking and vandalising. I think a couple of CCTV cameras on the side of the tube station in a very busy area can be a deterrent for ASBO. I am tired of dirty streets and smelly pavements in my area. Why Westfield does not pay for these CCTV cameras?

I would like to see more visibility by the Police in the lyric square area early in the morning say between 7.30 and 9.00am to stop cycling across Lyric square and surrounding pavements

I think the SNT do a fantastc job - However, I do wish that they patrolled and monitored Eel Brook Common - Especially at night.
