The Big Splash has launched
Participation, Challenge, Charity
Big Splash is a national campaign which launched on the 15th May, to be delivered in partnership between British Swimming and the BBC, to raise the profile of swimming which will culminate in the highest profile and largest mass participation swimming challenge in the world.
Some of the objectives of the Big Splash campaign are:

To raise swimming participation levels.

To have more people participate in a swimming challenge than ever before.

To raise £1m+ for charity.
The campaign will culminate on 24th March 2012 with a mass participation event aimed at getting tens of thousands of people in the pool to complete a 1km challenge swim, either individually or as part of a team.
