Leisure passes - LIFESTYLE Plus

The LIFESTYLE Plus membership scheme is open to residents of Hammersmith & Fulham on low incomes. This includes pensioners, unemployed people, full-time students, people with disabilities and those who receive income support or housing benefit. 

The joining fee is £20.50 for 12 months or £10.25 for six months, after which members can use many of the sports and leisure facilities for 50p per session. There is no restriction on Lifestyle Plus use for swimming. Gymnasium use and fitness classes are unrestricted at off-peak periods. Lifestyle Plus members also receive discounts on many other services including some library charges, theatre tickets, museum admission and lots more.

Can I join?

You need to be a borough resident on low income. You can also apply on behalf of your spouse, partner or children (between 5 and 17 years of age). Children under five are free. Young people 16 years and older may apply in their own right. If you do not qualify for LIFESTYLE Plus membership you can still joing the centre's membership scheme which enables you to use facilities in participating sports centres at a reduced rate. It's still great value.

If you are going to participate in any sports activities you should be in good health. Check with your doctor if you are in any doubt.

How do I apply?

You need four things to apply for a LIFESTYLE Plus card. If you applying for your children you will also need a child benefit book.

1. Proof of borough residence (one of the following, no photocopies please)

• Recent bill with applicant's name and address on (Gas, Electric etc.)
• Television licence
• Council Tax bill (current financial year) or recent council letter
• Driving license                

2. Proof of eligibility (one of the following, no photocopies please)

• Job seekers allowance or letter of notification (6 months membership only)
• Income support book (or letter of notification)
• Working tax credit
• Housing benefit book
• Invalidity benefit book
• Sickness benefit book
• Disability allowance book/Disability tax credit
• Birth certificate showing that applicant is 60 years or over
• Registered disabled card/Disabled persons tax credit
• Current National Union of Students card                

3. The joining fee £20.50 for 12 month or £10.25 for 6 months membership per applicant/dependant

4. Two clear passport size colour photographs for each applicant/dependant (no group shots, hats or sungalsses please). Please ensure names are written on the back of each photograph
