Home library service
Based at Hammersmith Library, the Home Library Service provides a lifeline for borough residents who, through lack of mobility, are not able to travel to their local branch library.
Home Library Service
Home Library Service readers are visited by a member of library staff who brings a selection of books - including large print, talking books on cassette or CD, music cassettes and CDs, DVDs and videos. These can be kept until the next library visit, which is usually every three weeks.
Anybody, of any age and including children, may apply for this service. Potential new readers are interviewed to assess their needs.
If you know of someone who might benefit from this service, or would like some more information, or are interested in registering, please contact the Home Library Service.

Deposit Collection Service - this service is currently suspended
Collections of books are loaned out to sheltered housing sites, nursing homes and care centres. The collections contain a variety of books to suit the needs of the individual sites, including novels, large print and information.
Collections are exchanged by library staff every sixteen weeks.
