IT training centres in Hammersmith & Fulham:
Third Age Foundation (TAF) in Hammersmith helps people aged 50 and over to gain new skills in computer technology and to develop more confidence for the future.
TAF, based in Glenthorne Road, teaches beginners, intermediate and advanced courses in everything from word processing, email and Internet to desktop publishing. It also offers personal development classes looking at action planning, financial management and new ways of working, and can give advice on starting your own business. H&F Adult Learning and Skills Service
The adult learning and skills service is committed to ensuring that all local people have access to the best IT opportunities, and for classes leading to qualifications there are no course fees for people on benefits. Whether for home use or work, our computer courses will give you the skills you need for the digital age.
We have courses ranging from Introduction to Computers, Using the Internet to office courses such as, word processing and spreadsheets. Our design courses include web design, desktop publishing and Photoshop. We also have a course where you can build your own computer. We have modern, well-equipped computer suites at all our main centres with Windows XP and Microsoft Office XP software. We are able to offer adaptations and support for students with disabilities, but it is helpful if we have advance notice of your needs. Our study support sessions also provide access to much of the software taught in the classes and tutor support, so that students can practise or complete homework in our adult education centres. Concessionary fees are available on most courses. Please ask for details.
