We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work with and support a Year 1 pupil with physical disability and speech, language and communication difficulties.     

The successful applicant will support the class teacher, other staff and professionals in meeting the pupil’s needs to enable him to achieve his full potential. 

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience of working with primary age children
• Have effective communication skills with a good working knowledge of the English language and the ability to keep written notes on pupil progress.
• Have experience of working as part of a team
• Be enthusiastic, confident and show initiative
• Ideally have previous experience of working with special educational needs/learning difficulties. 

Duties will also require helping with the toileting, feeding and physical care of this pupil.  Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
