A message from the Leader
Welcome to Hammersmith & Fulham.
There is a transformation taking place in Hammersmith & Fulham and we need committed and able staff to help make it happen.
Driving down council tax bills and, at the same time, providing better services is a major challenge, but it is at the heart of everything we do. That means finding more innovative and effective ways of making resources go further. It means working better with other public services. And it means testing our services in competitive markets and learning lessons from the private sector.
We need, and already have to a large degree, a committed and experienced workforce. Our staff are dedicated, or so the surveys tell us, but we are not content to smugly think: job done. We can and will do better and that’s where you come in. We need new staff and new ideas to complement and build on what we already have.
Being the best is never easy, but whatever the challenge, the ingenuity of staff in my experience makes all the difference.
Personally I like a challenge. The challenge here is to make a high-performing council even better. Are you up to it?
