If you are unemployed and thinking of returning to work, we offer training and support to enhance your job prospects through Op*Shop, our employment  and careers centre. 

Op*Shop staff will help you identify your skills and make the right choices on further education and careers.

If you are ready to work then you can explore Op*Shop’s database of local job vacancies and use its job search facilities. Our staff will support you as you apply for work, offering advice on CVs, application forms and interviews.

If you would like to work but need more experience, then a work placement may help you develop the skills and confidence to return to work. 

If you are interested in working in construction, we provide construction training for people with no previous experience. If you are already qualified and experienced in the construction industry then we can provide you with details of construction vacancies in the borough, particularly on the massive new White City Site development.

If you are a lone parent and thinking about re-training or going back to work, we can provide information and advice on childcare, financial and benefits advice, training and employment opportunities through our in-work support team.
