If you are a council tenant, we can help you get low cost Home Contents Insurance cover. We have arranged a contents insurance scheme with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc which is geared towards your needs.
From as little as £1.75 a week (£1.05 a week for tenants aged 60 and over receiving state retirement pension) you will have a contents insurance policy which includes the following benefits:

How the scheme works:
To join the scheme your rent account must be in credit, or not more than 4 weeks in arrears and you must fill in an application form.
Home Contents Insurance Cover for loss or damage to tenants contents caused by fire, theft, water damage, vandalism, storm, flood or subsidence. The Insurance cover is available to tenants and leaseholders and application forms may be requested by visiting or calling the Local area housing office . If policy holders have any queries regarding the cover or wish to make a claim they need to contact Direct Group on 08456 718 172. Direct group are the Customer Services and Claims department for Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance (RSA).
