Housing Solutions Team
The team tackles overcrowding and under-occupation in Hammersmith & Fulham.
We hold surgeries and events to promote our services to all overcrowded and under-occupying tenants. We take direct referrals and also encourage referrals from colleagues and external professionals.
Under-occupied
The team offers the following for under-occupying households:
- actively promotes existing housing options to tenants to reduce under-occupancy in order to free up larger properties for overcrowded households.
- explores additional incentives to encourage tenants to downsize.
- Specific schemes include: Beneficial Transfer, Sheltered Housing (for 60+ tenants), Seaside and Country Homes (for 60+ tenants), Your Move and Private Sector Move Initiative
Overcrowded
The team offers the following for overcrowded households:
- Specific schemes include: Private Sector Move Initiative, Community Lettings and Space Saving Solutions
