The LINk
Local Involvement Networks were started in England in April 2008 to give residents and communities a strong voice in shaping how their health and social care services are provided. Independent networks of groups, residents, local organisations will work as part of the LINk to find out what people want and to look into issues. LINks have the power to hold health and social care providers to account.
The LINk will work with organisations, groups, forums, businesses and residents to set priorities for the work-plan.
The Steering Group are now elected in Hammersmith & Fulham and are currently setting up work groups for the borough.
The Interim Host is facilitating public introductory meetings, talks, workshops and support advertising and promotion of the LINk and fund management whilst a permanent host is recruited using a bid process.
The summer newsletter has been sent out. See below for a pdf of the newsletter.
