BGOP getting involved
Project teams and groups in Hammersmith & Fulham
There are lots of ways for you to get involved in the work of the council, to make your views heard and to meet other people with similar interests.
Transport Project Team
Meets up with local transport planners every two months to discuss the transport and travel needs of older people.
Home Care Reference Group
Meets to discuss the ongoing monitoring of home care services.
Project Advisory Group
Advises on community and extra care sheltered housing, nursing homes and day support services.
Regeneration Partnership Board
Making sure older people's concerns are listened to when redeveloping areas of the borough.
Health & Social Services Scrunity Panel
This important panel meets monthly to scrutinise policy and developments in health and social care services. It offers an opportunity of being heard by the most senior officers in the council. Meetings usually take place on the first Tuesday of every month.
Whole Systems Steering Group
An opportunity for you to influence how local health and social services will develop over the coming years. Specialist groups focussing on hospital discharge, age discrimination, mental health, rehabilitation and health promotion meet regularly and welcome new members.
Agewell
Developing and planning health and leisure services for people over 50. Anyone interested in helping develop activities specifically for the over 50s is welcome to attend this bi-monthly meeting held in Hammersmith Town Hall.
50+ Reading Group
Be the first to read draft information materials from the council, health authority and voluntary organisations and help us to make sure they are well written, easy to understand and user-friendly for older people.
If you would like more information about how to join any of these groups please call Liz or Nancy in the Better Government for Older People Team on 020 8753 5208/5169 or email BGOP@lbhf.gov.uk.
