Brighter Futures fostering
A specialist fostering scheme suitable for people who have child care or youth work experience and can commit full time
Brighter Futures is a new scheme suitable for people with specialist backgrounds who have experience of working with children. If you are a former teacher, social worker, youth worker or other professional in the child care arena who is looking for new rewards and challenges, then Brighter Futures could be for you.
Foster carers for the Brighter Futures scheme must be at home full time, have a spare bedroom for fostering and have no children under 12 in the house. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures and religions. We welcome male and female carers, who are single or with a partner.
Apart from the satisfaction of giving a child a home, there are substantial benefits and support for the right person:
- Payment of £400 per week, plus an allowance for the child.
- Excellent support package - including a supervising social worker and access to a child psychologist.
- Access to training and eligibility for an NVQ certificate.
- Two weeks’ paid holiday a year.
Fostering can be challenging & rewarding. You will join a team that values your contribution in making a real impact on a young person’s life.
