Fostering brothers and sisters

Could you care for three or more children?

FosteringbrothersandsistersWe have introduced a new scheme suitable for people who have the commitment and space in their home to care for a group of three or more brothers and sisters.  We are looking for foster carers to care for brothers and sisters of all ages from birth to age 17.

We need these specialist foster carers so that we can keep brothers and sisters together during difficult periods in their lives.

Foster carers for this scheme should be between 23 and 62 years old, from any background, ethnicity, culture or religion. We welcome male and female carers, single or with a partner, with or without children, disabled or not disabled and from all sexualities.

To be eligible for this scheme you need to meet the following criteria:

  • have two or more spare bedrooms available for the children
  • available full time (if you are applying as a couple, only one of the adults needs to be available full time)
  • if you are single, you need to show that you have a strong and accessible support network
  • you must be able to manage the individual needs of a group of brothers and sisters

Foster carers for this scheme receive a generous fee of between £450 and £570 per week with reduced taxation, plus an allowance for each child and any essential equipment. We also offer ongoing training and support.

Fostering can be challenging and rewarding. You will join a team that values your contribution in making a real impact on a young person’s life.
