Joint Area Review 2007
Inspection of services for children, young people and their families
The Joint Area Review (JAR) of children’s services in Hammersmith and Fulham took place in May 2007 and a final report on the JAR Recommendations is now available.
Thank you from Andrew Christie (Director of Children's Services)
I would like to thank all staff who contributed to our Joint Area Review, Enhanced Youth Service Inspection and the Youth Offending Service Inspection. Although they took place some months ago, the conclusions still hold for today.
The findings were very positive and have shown that the majority of children and young people in Hammersmith and Fulham have good life experiences and that our services work well together. The reviews also identified some areas for improvement. Action plans have been developed to deliver the recommendations and inform the new Children and Young People's Plan 2008-11. We look forward to the challenges that lie ahead in implementing the recommendations and further improving our services to the children and young people in our borough. Andrew Christie
