Children and Young People's Plan 2008-11
A plan for all children and young people in Hammersmith & Fulham
The Children and Young People's Plan 2008-11 is a plan that sets out how local agencies will work together to develop services that help young people achieve the five outcomes from the government's Every Child Matters green paper (visit Every Child Matters website to find out more about this). To date a new set of priorities have been developed and will go out for consultation in the coming months.
The CYPP is being developed by Hammersmith & Fulham council, in co-operation with the Primary Care Trust, local hospital trusts, the police, voluntary sector and community groups. Children and young people, their parents and carers, and those who work with them, will also be consulted during the development of the CYPP 2008-11.
The Children’s Services Departmental Aims 2008-09 are closely linked to the priorities of the CYPP; our vision is to create a ladder of opportunity which enables young people to pursue happy and full lives achieving economic well being (visit the following link to find out more about the Children’s Services Departmental Aims 2008-09 pdf).
From April 2008 Childrens Services will be working to a National Set of Performance Indicators under the five Every Child Matters outcomes.

Consultation with children, young people and parents/carers
An important part of preparing the Children and Young People's Plan was consulting children, young people and their parents and carers. We commissioned the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) to carry out independent surveys and we used the results to help us plan. Read the report of the results of the NFER's Children and Young People's Plan survey (pdf).
