Home composting is an excellent way to reduce the amount of garden and food waste that is thrown in the bin and sent to landfill.

When this waste rots in landfill it produces a powerful greenhouse gas (methane) that causes climate change. Composting at home stops this happening because, unlike landfill, air can reach your food and garden waste as it breaks down.

You will also be rewarded with a free supply of compost that is great for the garden.

We are working with Straight Plc to offer residents of Hammersmith and Fulham a low cost compost bin. Compost bins are avaiable from as little as £14. Wormeries and kitchen composters are also available.
