Making Recycling Easier

If your rubbish is collected in large, wheeled bins we cannot provide the Smart Sack recycling service. Instead wherever possible, we will provide Smart Banks at blocks for the private use of residents.

We would like every estate and mansion block in the borough to have Smart Bank facilities. Where possible we try to put them near the rubbish bins to make recycling as convenient as possible.

We are working with our Community Services Department to identify suitable sites for recycling banks on all council managed housing estates. We are also offering Smart Banks to housing association managed estates, all private mansion blocks and sheltered housing accommodation.

Can you think of a suitable place to put a Smart Bank? Please contact us on 020 8753 1100 and we will arrange to visit your managing agent, estate manager or resident association. We undergo consultation with residents before Smart Banks are installed.
