Household waste - rubbish collection
Street properties

Household waste and recycling collection days have changed. We now collect your refuse and recycling on the same day.
Check your new collection day: Enter your postcode in the Myh&f search on the hompage or view our map and street list pdf.
Your bags may be collected any time from 6am Monday to Friday.
Please help us to keep your streets clean. Do your bit by:
- putting your refuse in your front garden or outside your property where it is clearly visible.
- using heavy duty refuse sacks or dustbins, not flimsy carrier bags, kitchen bin liners.
- not putting loose items out for collection.
- having your refuse available for collection either after 9pm on the evening before your collection day, or before 6.00am on your collection day.
If you think we have missed a collection, you can report it using our online form and the bags will be collected within 24 hours. For information on household refuse contact the Cleaner Greener Hotline on 020 8753 1100.

Council estates, flats and mansion blocks
If you live on an estate or in a flat or mansion block, it is likely that you will be provided with communal refuse bins. Please contact the Cleaner Greener hotline on 020 8753 1100.
Bulky Waste
The council provides a bulky waste collection which includes a collection of fridges and freezers.
Council tenants who have a caretaker service have separate arrangements for the collection of their bulky waste. Please contact your caretaker or area housing office to arrange a place and date for collection.
Bank holiday collections
There will be no changes to rubbish and recycling collection days on any bank holiday in 2009, with the exception of Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years day.
For more information contact the Cleaner Greener hotline on 0208 753 1100 or cleaner.greener@lbhf.gov.uk.
