Environmental quality
The environmental quality team deal with land quality, regulation of industrial processes and private water supplies.
- Contaminated land
We deal with the identification of contaminated land under the Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the improvement of land quality through the planning process. We also deal with enquiries and produce environmental searches. - Dry cleaners
- Private water supplies
We regulate water quality at private water supplies in the Borough. Please note that we do NOT regulate the water quality of the mains water supply. - Pollution prevention and control
We regulate and permit a range of Part B industrial activities under of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2007 relating to air emissions. The range of activities include dry cleaners, petrol stations, vehicle resprayers, waste oil burners, cement batching facilities, mobile crushers, cremetoria, and general foundries. -
