Land affected by contamination is a description used in Planning Policy Statement 23: Planning and Pollution Control (pdf on Communities website).
It describes land that is potentially contaminated land, or is contaminated land, which is subject to the requirements of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (opens in new window), as it is involved in a planning application or the granting of planning permission.
