The planning regeneration team deals with large scale planning applications in the opportunity areas.

The planning policy team is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the council’s planning policy documents, which guide development.
The urban design and conservation team provides advice on the design of new development and on the conservation of historic buildings and areas. It also deals with specific designations such as Tree Preservation Orders, Listed buildings, Article 4 directions and Conservation Areas.
