Buildings of Merit
The council has a Local Register of Buildings of Merit featuring buildings and structures of townscape, architectural or historic importance that should be preserved. The Local Register forms Supplementary Planning Guidance and planning policies relating to Buildings of Merit, in particular UDP Policy EN6, can be found in the Unitary Development Plan.
A copy of the Local Register of Buildings of Merit is available to download here. Please be aware that the Local Register was last formally updated in 2000 and since then building names and addresses may have changed.
