Planning Policy
Local Development Framework (LDF)
The replacement plan for the UDP will be the Local Development Framework (LDF). The LDF includes a number of planning documents including the Core Strategy (adopted Oct 2011), the emerging Development Management (DPD) and a series of Supplementary Planning Documents, including draft supplementary planning guidance on major regeneration areas in the borough at White City and Earls Court. Use the LDF pages in order to find out about these documents together with supporting research, background evidence and monitoring.
Unitary Development Plan (UDP)- Saved Policies
The Unitary Development Plan (UDP) for the borough was adopted in August 2003 and further amended in 2007. On 19th October 2011 the council adopted its Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) which has led to a number of UDP policies being superseded. However, some UDP policies will continue to be used alongside the Core Strategy until the council adopt their emerging Development Management DPD.
The Mayor of London adopted a new London Plan in July 2011. Together with the council's adopted local planning policies, the Mayor of London's London Plan is also a statutory plan against which planning applications are considered.
