Planning applications notification

Register for planning application email alerts and receive regular updates about planning applications in your area. Documents associated with these applications will normally be ready for viewing on our website three working days after the application goes online.

You can comment on planning applications online through the planning database or by email environment@lbhf.gov.uk, quoting the application reference.  Please provide your name and address if you would like to receive an acknowledgement.

Notification of neighbouring properties

The council has a statutory duty to advertise all planning applications either with a site notice (fixed to a lamp post) or letters to neighbours. An advertisement in a local newspaper is required in some cases, such as major developments and developments in Conservation Areas. In all cases people are given 21 days to send in their views.
