Planning appeals

Planning appeals

If your planning application is refused, you are not satisfied with the conditions of your planning permission or you have not received a decision within the statutory deadline, you can appeal to the Planning Inspectorate .

This is part of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) .

The appeal will be considered by a planning inspector who has been appointed by the Secretary of State. While most appeals are handled in writing, some are decided by a hearing before an inspector and some are decided after a public inquiry.
