Online planning applications
New and improved planning application forms (1App) have now been introduced and are available from this website. You can apply online directly or you can download the forms below
- Apply online via the Planning Portal
On the Planning Portal website you can: attach drawings and documents, include a professional quality site location plan and download the appropriate Ordnance Survey map. You can also pay online, as the website will calculate the correct application fees for you. - Fees - Planning Portal fee calculator
The fee charged for the assessment of a planning application is set by the government and depends on the scale and nature of the proposed development. A new Scale of fees became effective from the 6 April 2008.
Design and Access Statement

Energy Statement
An Energy Statement should be sent in with all major applications. For more information download Supplementary Planning Document - Energy (pdf)
