Keeping your food safe
Hammersmith & Fulham Food Safety Team - Environmental Health Officers aim to ensure that all food and drink intended for human consumption by Hammersmith and Fulham’s 1,500 food businesses is produced, stored, distributed or handled without risk to the health and safety of the consumer.
Food safety is a major part of the environmental health officer's work. Our job is to ensure that food business supply wholesome and safely food produced in a clean, hygienic manner. We also investigate outbreaks of infectious disease and food poisoning to prevent them spreading.
The aim of these pages is to provide businesses and the general public with information and advice about food safety and the steps we can take when contraventions are discovered.
