The criteria

Demonstrating compliance - Five criteria need satisfying.

Design stage.

• Carbon Dioxide Emissions Rate (DER) < target (TER) 
• Design limits not exceeded 
• Appropriate passive solar control   

After construction. 

• Performance consistent with design
• Provision of information for efficient operation and maintenance   

Demonstrating compliance. 

• Dwelling as constructed must achieve predicated DER (Dwellings CO2 Emission Rate)
• Submit a report to Building Control B showing ;
• Key features that achieve predicted DER 
• SAP (2005) software will produce check list (see AD appendix A)
• Quality of construction
• Building fabric as constructed should have no significant thermal bridges, and the air permeability standard must be achieved
