Fulham Cross Girls' and Henry Compton Schools move forward with proposal to adopt trust status

Following a consultation which showed clear recognition of the advantages that stronger collaboration between Fulham Cross Girls’ and Henry Compton Schools would generate, the schools federated on 1 September 2009.

The Governing Body decided to provide a further opportunity for comment specifically on the subject of the adoption of trust school status. The consultation on the proposal was conducted between 14 June and 23 July 2010. The response to this consultation was very positive.

On 13 October 2010, the Governing Body of Fulham Cross Girls’ and Henry Compton Schools agreed to give notice that it intends to make a prescribed alteration to Fulham Cross Girls' Community Secondary School and Henry Compton Community Secondary School. The proposal is for the schools to change their category from community to trust school status. The aim of a trust is to bring together a range of experience, skills and expertise to the schools as a lever to raise standards.

Thank you for your interest in our proposal.  The period for objections and comments to be made ended at midnight on 14 November 2010. 

The Governing Body of the Federation of Fulham Cross Girls' School and Henry Compton School will take all responses into account before deciding on the proposal at their next meeting in early December.
