School Staff Zone FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Q. I work in a LBHF school how can I sign up to receive the weekly ebulletin?

A. Please e-mail the Communications & Information team to be added to the distribution list and advise us of your name, school, job title and work e-mail address.

Q.
Can local authority staff receive the weekly ebulletin?

A. Whilst the ebulletins have been created for school staff, they are also useful to some people within the local authority. If you would like to receive the ebulletin please contact the Communications & Information team, advising which distribution lists you would like to be added to (nursery, primary, secondary or special).

Q. Are ebulletins sent out during school holidays?

A. No. Please check the forward planning webpage for the complete list of ebulletin dates and communication deadlines. Please also note that where weeks contain bank holidays, deadline dates may be earlier.

Q.
How do I get an item added to the school staff zone calendar or action deadlines page?

A. All items included in the ebulletins are automatically added to these pages (where applicable). If you would like any other items added, please contact the Communications & Information team at CI@lbhf.gov.uk

Q.
If I am only communicating with, for example, eight primary schools, do I still need to send my communication via the School staff Zone?

A. No.  If you are sending an e-mail to less than half of the schools in any one category you can send it directly.  By category, we mean type of school, so this could, for instance, be community schools or VA schools as well as the more usual nursery, primary and secondary groupings.  If in doubt, please call the C&I team on 020 8753 3731 to check.
