Expansion of St John's Walham Green primary school

Consultation response

St John’s Walham Green C of E Primary School currently admits 30 children to Reception each year. Following the favourable response to the recent consultation that closed on 12 June 2009, the Governing Body of the school has taken the decision to proceed with the proposal to increase the annual intake to Reception to 60, effective from September 2010.

The public notice of the proposal to go ahead, subject to consideration of any objections received, was published on 30 June 2009.

There are currently 210 places at St John’s School, which provides education for children from the age of 4 to 11 years, plus a nursery for 30 children. The total number of places, excluding the nursery will double over a period of six years.

The Governing Body is proposing to increase the annual intake to the Reception from 30 pupils (one form entry, or 1FE) to 60 pupils (two form entry, or 2FE), with effect from 1 September 2010.
