Free school meals
Your children qualify for free school meals if you:
- receive income support or
- receive income based job seekers allowance or
- are supported under the national asylum seekers support system (NASS) or
- are receiving child tax credit, but not working tax credit and have an annual taxable income of less than £16,190.
Children receiving free school meals at primary school will continue to receive them at secondary school as long as the parent or carer still qualifies for one of the above benefits.
If you think your child is eligible for free school meals please print out and complete an application form.
