Free school meals

Your children qualify for free school meals if you receive Income Support or Income Based Jobseekers Allowance or are supported under the National Asylum Seekers Support System (NASS) or are receiving Child Tax Credit, but not Working Tax Credit and have an annual taxable income of less than £15,575.

Children already receiving free school meals at primary school will continue to receive them at secondary school as long as the parent or carer still qualifies for these benefits.
