The Arts in Schools team are working with NDC on a reminiscence project focusing on Fulham. The project will culminate into a visual exhibition, displaying art, photography and audio dialogue. During the autumn half term an artist from ACAVA will be working with a local youth centre on a project called Reminisce this. Participants will learn skills in research, photography, digital photographic manipulation and desk top publishing; their work will be included in the exhibition
A Miller’s Tale
Hammersmith & Fulham have been supporting Westminster Council on this project, which follows Jason Miller, recently convicted for his part in the 1996 World Cup riots and his journey into self discovery through the help of a Chelsea Pensioner. The project cleverly engages young people by using football as its central theme.
Bi-centenary of the Abolition of Slavery 2007
The theme of the exhibition will extend beyond the Bi-centenary to include post-abolition black struggle and achievements.
