Outreach Programme

The Children's Information Service is now running a community outreach programme.

This means that we are taking the service out into the borough to give more people access to the range of information and advice that we provide:

• Registered childcare, early years and play in the borough 
• Tax Credits and other help with childcare costs 
• Choosing the right childcare for you 
• Training and working in childcare 
• A wide range of leisure activities including parent and toddler groups                  

How will this help me as a parent/carer?

Whether you are a parent returning to work, have just had a baby, or are arranging early education for your child, the outreach programme provides an opportunity for you to meet one of our team to get practical advice and comprehensive listings. The outreach officer runs regular sessions at various locations across the borough including Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush libraries, local shopping centres, children’s centres and local schools. • Do you give advice and information to the public? 
• Do you work with families and children? 
• Do you provide guidance to your clients about childcare work and training opportunities?                   

If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes' the outreach programme can help. We can visit your organisation and provide one-to-one advice to your clients and tailor-make sessions for larger groups. We can also provide free information sessions for you and your staff to help them understand how they can best make use of our service.
