Agewell activities
The Agewell project promotes exercise and healthy living for the over 50s in Hammersmith & Fulham
Agewell membership gives access to a borough-wide programme of classes arranged to suit all levels of ability. The classes provide an ideal opportunity to join a friendly, supportive group and improve your mobility and fitness.
Whether your interest is gentle seated exercise or more vigorous exercise to music, line or sequence dancing, badminton, bowls, rambling or table tennis, there is a friendly session for you.
Here are a few examples of the classes offered:
Gentle exercise
A class for men and women new to exercise, possibly with limited joint mobility or referred to exercise by their doctor.
Slimnastics
Aimed at improving general fitness levels, with additional nutritional advice and weight monitoring.
Exercise to Music
You will get an overall workout for stamina, strength and suppleness. This class is aimed at active beginners and regular exercisers.
Rambles
A range of walks to suit everyone - from shorter walks over fairly flat ground for people with mobility difficulties to 7 miles plus country rambles for more seasoned walkers. Please remember to bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate clothing. The rambles vary in distance and difficulty. If you are unsure which is the best ramble for you, please contact us.
