National Fraud Initiative 2008

Data Matching Exercise

A brief explanation about the council's involvement with the Audit Commission

The council is participating in the Audit Commission’s anti-fraud initiative, an exercise to promote the proper spending of public money through the matching of personal information from public bodies.

As part of this exercise we are required to tell you about this and you may recently have received, or will soon receive a communication from us, or find further information published in H&F News.

The council is legally required to send the data which it holds to the Audit Commission. This will be done by means of a secure upload to the Audit Commission website.

Further information about the initiative can be found on the Level 2 Fair Processing Notice.
