Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony offers you the opportunity to welcome your baby into the family.
Naming ceremonies can be used for children of any age, including adopted children or stepchildren. You can choose the content of the ceremony and anyone you expect to play an important role in the life of your child can involved.

You must bring a birth certificate with you when you book your ceremony.
A naming ceremony has no legal status and cannot be used to change the name of a child. We will give you a commemorative certificate at the ceremony, but this cannot be used for any legal purposes.
Naming Ceremony Fees from April 2007
Hammersmith and Fulham Register Office, Fulham Town Hall (up to 60 people)
- Monday- Friday, during office hours - £120. From 4.30pm to 6 pm £180
- Saturday afternoon £210
- Sunday/Bank Holiday £285
Fulham Council Chamber (up to 100 people)
- Monday – Friday, during office hours - £253.50. From 4.30pm to 6 pm- £253.50
- Saturday afternoon - £373.50
- Sunday/Bank Holiday - £453.50
Other Venues*
- Monday – Friday during office hours £150. From 4.30 to 6 pm £180
- Saturday - £210
- Sunday/Bank Holiday - £230
* Please note that additional charges will be payable to the venue
A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 will be payable at the time a booking is made. All remaining fees will be payable in full one month before the date of the ceremony.
