Good Hotels Guide

To help accommodation providers meet the necessary standards for providing short-stay accommodation to visitors to London particularly during the Queens Jubilee and Olympics 2012 Year we have developed a Good Hoteliers Guide (pdf 409kb) to advise you on all the stages from website advertising, booking reservations to managing your premises through implementing good practice.

Have you devised an action plan yet for the Olympics 2012 Games to deal with business logisitical challenges or the impact of travel delays on staffing levels? Go to London 2012 Toolkits for more information.

Advertising and Trading within Olympic Designated Zone

The London 2012 website now includes information explaining the special rules on advertising and outdoor trading that is to be implemented within the Olympic designated zones.

If you intend to operate within the designated zones during the 2012 Olympic Games you will likely need to have prior authorisation and follow permitted restrictions.

If you require any other information or guidance about the Olympics, please contact the Duty Trading Standards officer on 0208 753 3992 or email: tradingstandards@lbhf.gov.uk
