Application for small business rate relief
For 2008/09 the government has set the following multipliers:
- small business multiplier 45.8 pence in the pound
- standard multiplier 46.2 pence in the pound

The government's explanatory notes for business ratepayers are sent with bills and provide general infomation on various related matters eg rateable values, the multiplier, transitional arrangements, unoccupied property rating, small business rate relief, charity and community amateur sports relief, hardship relief, rating advisers etc
