Guarantees from your bank make this the easiest and safest payment option. You can choose your payment date – the 1st, 8th, 15th, 21st or 28th of the month, whichever date suits you. Read  the direct debit guarantee .

To set up your direct debit online go to 'My account' and register your council tax account. You will then be able to set up your direct debit online. With 'My account' you can also change your bank details online should you need to. Alternatively, you may call 020 8753 6681 or print off and complete a Direct Debit form (PDF).

We are once again participating in a London wide £25,000 prize draw for council tax payers signed up to pay by direct debit.  Existing direct debit payers will automatically be entered for the draw. New direct debit payers must sign up to pay their council tax by 12th July 2012. The draw will be made on 18th July 2012 with the winner notified within 14 days.
