Benefits
Our benefits service is responsible for three means-tested benefits: housing benefit, council tax benefit and second adult rebate. These benefits are paid for by the Department for Work & Pensions, but the duty to administer them belongs to local authorities.
Our main office is the Housing Centre at 77 Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith, W6 0LJ, but there are satellites in each of the borough’s area housing offices. We also deal with benefits fraud and recovery of overpaid benefits. Contact us by email at benefits@lbhf.gov.uk or telephone 020 8753 1396.
Financial help for students and school children
Our education awards team manages financial help for students and school children, including help with travel and school clothing and free school meals.
