Benefits
Our benefits service is responsible for three means-tested benefits: housing benefit, council tax benefit and second adult rebate. These benefits are paid for by the Department for Work & Pensions, but the duty to administer them belongs to local authorities.
Our reception is on the first floor at The Town Hall Extension, Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, W6 9JU. We also deal with benefits fraud and recovery of overpaid benefits. Opening times are 09:00 to 17:00. Contact us by email at benefits@lbhf.gov.uk or telephone 020 8753 1396.
Financial help for students and school children
Our education awards team manages financial help for students and school children, including help with travel and school clothing and free school meals.
