Community Risk register - managing risks in our borough

How we manage and assess risks

We work with our community partners in West London to assess the risk of emergencies happening in our area. We do this so we can produce plans to deal with these risks, as they happen.

Assessing risk is an ongoing process, but we regularly collect all of our current risk assessments, into a single document called a ‘Community Risk Register’.

You can see this document on the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority’s website:

If you have any questions about the register or how it was put together, please contact the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority:

Treating Risk

Our Civil Protection Team have general arrangements in place for planning for emergencies and allowing businesses to continue operating effectively. As well as the general arrangements we put in place, we have a number of Specific contingency plans  to deal with situations we assess to have a ‘very high’ risk, or where the government has given us advice.
