Standing Together Against Domestic Violence

Support for women facing domestic violence

Standing Together Against Domestic Violence is a Hammersmith & Fulham organisation that works to prevent domestic violence, and to meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence and their families.

Standing Together works with the police, the Crown Prosecution Service, Charing Cross hospital and Hammersmith & Fulham Women’s Aid to ensure that victims of domestic violence receive a full and co-ordinated response and that abusers are held accountable for their actions.

Standing Together has set up an advocacy service, ADVANCE, that provides a 24 hour immediate crisis response to survivors of domestic violence living in Hammersmith & Fulham.

In 2002 Standing Together helped to launch a Specialist Domestic Violence Court at West London Magistrates court, which sits once a week. It is the first in the country to hear all domestic violence cases from first hearings to trials.
