Advice
Emergencies
We will put information for residents on our homepage http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/ in event of any major emergency incident in the borough. This will be updated as new information becomes available. Always dial 999 in the event of any emergency where there is danger to life or there is a crime in progress. Also see the Government's Preparing for Emergencies website http://www.pfe.gov.uk/ (opens new window) which provides information on how you can help yourself and others in emergencies.
Council emergency services
If you have an emergency and you need to contact the council out of our normal office hours, you should phone our duty officer on 020 8748 8588 or text (18001) 020 8748 8588.
Domestic violence
Our leaflet Domestic Violence - Where to go for Help (pdf 700kb) gives details of both national and local agencies that offer services for people experiencing domestic violence.
