Schools' teenage pregnancy project
The project helps pregnant teenagers get back into education and offers support with sex and relationships education.
The work of the project includes:
- Delivering age-appropriate sex and relationship education (SRE) to pupils in secondary schools.
- Working with young women who have had a conception, regardless of outcome, to re-integrate them into education and address any obstacles in them accessing education.
- Gathering data, information and trends to inform the Teenage Pregnancy Strategy.
- Developing SRE programmes for primary schools.
- Working closely with other agencies and relevant services.
