Food safety nutrition
It is extremely important to have a healthy diet. Most people should be eating:
- less fat, salt and sugar
- more fruit and vegetables
- more starchy foods such as rice, bread, pasta (especially wholegrain varieties) and potatoes
- some protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, eggs and pulses (such as beans and lentils).
It's also important to eat a variety of foods to make sure we get all the nutrients our bodies need.
